Light and vision are interrelated. If we want to see, we need light. In the darkness, a curtain can be mistaken for a robber, and a shadow for a moving figure. Yet in the light we see what is real and know what is false. There is no confusion.
Yet so many times in life we never question our perceptions of situations and events and assume that what we ‘see’ is what is real.
However, a perception is not reality although it can seem very real.
“Reality is merely an illusion, albeit a very persistent one.”
– Albert Einstein
We cannot find unity or harmony at the level of individual perceptions. We can join with our brother and sister at a deeper level if we allow ourselves to be shown in the light what is real, and what is false. A Course in Miracles makes countless references to this inner light of knowledge, understanding and Love.
Come take a listen to this talk where we explore these ideas with honest discussion, sharing and guided meditation.
