Today was another deep, healing, and transformative session!
We spent time with Rev. Maria Felipe as she shared about her book and her message- Live Your Happy.
Here are some key highlights from her sharing:
- Live Your Happy is not a cheerleader sort of happy where we pretend to be okay on the outside yet deep within we feel sadness, grief, anger, fear, or whatever else seems to be taking us away from our peace.
- Rather, this is the essence of the teachings of A Course in Miracles or other non-dualistic traditions which teach us that we cannot find lasting peace, happiness, or stability on the outside. It must come from within.
- Maria openly shared about her own personal odyssey of searching for happiness in the world of form (career in modeling/acting; relationships with men; and drinking) yet never feeling at peace.
- She also shares the healing processes which helped her forgive, experience true love within, and also move forward in her life as a teacher, wife, and mother.
