If you live in the US in the northeast or eastern seaboard, I wonder if your weekend was like mine. After assuring we had needed groceries and supplies, my son and I spent the weekend mostly staying warm and safe indoors- and feeling grateful for not having any interruption in heat or power.
The colder, snowy weather helps me slow down- to cook soup that simmers slowly on the stove, to cut vegetables with mindfulness, appreciating the texture of the tomatoes and onions as I slice them. Instead of trying to add more to my day, I find myself scheduling less. I feel a sense of relief that I don’t have to go out- that I have all I need right here. I find this weather helps me become even more inner focused. There is no need to reach outside for anything, and I find I can really attend to me and those around me with more presence, more listening, simply more being.
Whenever we face something that slows us down- be it a winter storm, or some physical condition or some other external limitation – we can allow that time to support our connection to the Inner Wisdom- that lives, breathes and speaks in silence and stillness. My desire at Coaching for Inner Peace is that we each find a way to cultivate that inner connection – which I firmly believe can serve as a solid foundation upon which to build a healthy, happy, peaceful and prosperous life.
I am so grateful and happy to also share that this month’s issue of the Democrat and Chronicle Rochester Magazine has an article about Coaching for Inner Peace and how it can support your journey to access inner resources- especially if you are facing some life challenge. The writer, Saby Reyes-Kulkarni, is a young man who sought my help with managing anxiety. I shared some tools with him which he found very helpful. Saby then felt inspired to write this article where he interviewed me about my journey over the past 30 years from western medicine to creating Coaching for Inner Peace.

Meanwhile, I wish you all a wonderful week ahead, that you all stay warm, safe, happy and healthy- and find time to connect daily with your Inner Guide- letting this Presence lead your way.
