For many of us, the holidays are a time for connecting with friends and family, and traveling to visit with those relatives living at a distance. My son and I will travel to visit my parents and other relatives in the NYC/NJ area. I feel that wonderful feeling of anticipation bubbling up inside me- as I look forward to my mom’s wonderful Indian cooking, time for easy, slow conversations, and of course, watching a good Bollywood movie (or two ?).
What is a vibrational family?
We each have a family we are borne into. A family connected by blood, genes, kinship, parentage, and so on and so forth. Yet there is also a vibrational family- a family connected by energetic bonds that have nothing to with where we were born, or the color of our skin or even common geography or any other physical characteristic. This is the family of the soul, which knows no borders, limitations, nor caste nor creed. Its language is Love. Its belief is Forgiveness. And it brings us together for one common purpose- to heal and share healing with all the lives we touch.
I feel my clients and all those who read this blog and write to me- sharing their heart and love- are part of my vibrational family. I am so grateful to ‘know’ each of you – even if I have never met you. I can feel your energy as I sit to write down these posts each week- knowing that the words that are coming through me will share something with someone that was exactly what they needed to hear.
A gift for you
So, what gift can I share with each of you to inspire and extend joy as you celebrate the holidays? What gift could also provide comfort and solace if the holidays bring some pain or sorrow- if they remind of you a loss that is still fresh, that still needs healing?
As I reflected, I felt guided to share an excerpt from my very first book- that is anticipated to be published in the Spring of 2018.
Physician, Heal Thyself: My Journey from Medicine to Miracles
This book shares my journey deep into the heart of healing interweaving four main components:
- powerful storytelling (from real-life stories as well as movies and mythology)
- my background in science and medicine
- my experience with Eastern spiritual traditions ( Hinduism and Buddhism)
- practical application of the teachings of A Course in Miracles
I am so excited that finally this book will be published- because I feel I’ve been writing this book ever since I entered medical school when I was 17 years old! So, in a way it is long, long over-due. I feel like a mother carrying a baby that is post-dates, and she simply wants the doctors to ‘get this baby out’! Yet, I also know that Divine Timing is always perfect, and this book is coming in precisely the right time.
As always, I would love to hear your comments and feedback ([email protected]).
I wish you all a wonderful, safe, warm and loving holiday season and a truly prosperous, regenerative new year!
