What is your understanding of the crucifixion?
Is it merely an event that happened about two thousand years ago to a man called Jesus?
Does it still have relevance to us today, regardless of which faith we identify ourselves with?
And what is the resurrection? Does it have any meaning for us today?
Reframing how we see the crucifixion and stepping into the resurrection
Yesterday, one of the participants asked me what she could read from A Course in Miracles for Easter. So I felt prompted to dig a bit deeper into how the teachings of ACIM can help us reframe the whole message of the crucifixion differently. Then we can slowly shift from seeing the crucifixion as a symbol of guilt, sin, attack, and punishment to focus on its true purpose- which was to teach us about the resurrection- inside the mind and beyond the body.
A body can certainly be hurt, fall ill, be attacked, and even die. This has been happening since the beginning of time with all sorts of wars, plagues, and natural disasters. However, something seems to be different now because everyone is witnessing this Covid phenomenon together- as if everyone all across the world is watching the same show on TV. We finally realize what has always been true: that the suffering and healing of one is truly the suffering and healing of all. There is no separation, there is no difference.
Yet the message of the crucifixion opens the doorway to the beautiful teaching of the resurrection- that what is eternal, changeless, unborn, and undying- can never be destroyed. So the message of the resurrection is calling us to witness to our invulnerability- that we cannot be hurt and we truly can never hurt. It is a very high and profound teaching yet is the only way we can experience any lasting peace in this world of constantly shifting and changing forms.
What is our choice?
At each moment, we are choosing between seeing ourselves or another crucified (unfairly or unjustly treated, or attacked) which then justifies our sense of being right, angry, and upset. Or we can instead choose the healing or resurrection inside the mind and choose to see everything and everyone differently. This does not mean we deny or stuff our emotions. Rather, we make peace with whatever we seem to experience or have experienced and allow for healing from the inside out with the help of the Beloved inside our hearts and all our mighty companions.
This is exactly what our amazing group of men and women of all ages from all over the world have been doing in our daily zoom circles for the past three weeks! Today, we all could feel how far and deep we each have traveled -moving from less fear into more love, from diminishing doubt into growing trust. We have chosen peace and love- over and over again instead of being right.
Today, we could all sit back and enjoy a beautiful bounty of love, peace, joy, and gratitude that we all had cultivated together.

Sean Michael’s music
We were so blessed today to have my dear friend and mighty companion, Sean Michael, join us and gift us with his singing and music which truly touches the soul. Sean’s music comes from a space of such honesty and vulnerability that simply is not of this world. You can listen to some of his songs in the audios above. You can also listen to Sean’s album Healing Grace here.

What is next? How can we continue this journey of healing together?
During these past 21 days, all the participants have bonded like a virtual family. And perhaps even more than a biological family because we have come together for one mighty purpose- which is truly the resurrection and healing of the mind. At the same time, we have been able to create such a beautiful and safe space for healing where everyone is welcome to share whatever is on their hearts with no judgment and no attempt to fix another. We all felt a deep desire to continue this journey together. And so I felt guided to offer a zoom online coaching program beginning in about two weeks using an online course I created called Moving from Fear to Love.
In my next post, I will share more details about what this program will look like, as well as the cost, options for scholarship, and much more. You are welcome to access and explore this course here for free.
