Coaching for Inner Peace Talk
Where is your attention?
March 7 2016
There is an increasing trend in our culture that seems to pride in our ability to multitask. At times this may be unavoidable, yet if this becomes our modus operandi we can suffer from feelings of fatigue, anxiety, irritability and eventually even experience burnout. Being present to our mind and the moment right before us can be amazingly healing, nourishing and even rejuvenating.
Yet if we are not paying attention we may miss the miracle the present moment offers.
Listen to this talk where we explore ideas of mindfulness versus mindlessness. We also share a simple practice that can be summarized in three steps which can help us find our way back to acceptance of the present moment and peace of mind.
These steps can be summarized as follows:
- Be aware of your mind
- Take responsibility for your state of mind
- And if you are not at peace then be willing to ask for help to change your mind – from fear to love, from distress to peace, from feeling alone to feeling supported and connected
We can ask for help from our Inner Guide- that place of stillness and peace within us. We need not do this alone.
