I just completed the write-up for the movie RAB NE BANA DI JODI and I realized that I just had to share one of my most favorite songs ever (not just from the movie!) with you all.
So this month the song ‘pick of the month’ is from the movie ‘pick of the month’ as well!
Not only does Haule Haule have a catchy, uplifting and upbeat rhythm, but the words convey so much wisdom in short phrases throughout the song. The journey of love – which is really the journey we all travel on our path to peace- can be gentle, easy, soft and slow. We need not be forceful or harsh, constantly pushing and pulling our way along. The Course teaches that all strain comes from the ego mind. So ultimately- sooner or later- many of us discover that there is really no value in “efforting” our way in love, or on our spiritual path when this approach is a clever ego disguise that actually leads us in completely the opposite direction of where we want to go!
The key that this song shares is that we can be easy with ourselves, and with others and trust as our Inner Guide takes our hand and guides each step, haule, haule.
